Second home purchases are making up for a large percent of sales in Bend. So it's no fluke that I'm getting more and more requests for condo listings. Condos offer second home buyers a (almost) maintenance free vacation home. Most associations take care of the exterior, lawn, and garbage, (and some even pay for water, power, and cable). And many of the condominium complexes in Bend include swimming pools, hot tubs, and rec rooms.
There are many different types of condo associations in Bend. Downtown and the Old Mill District boast upscale condos with Cascade Mountain Views. The east side has more modest condominium complexes, but some include pools and rec rooms. And then you have the resort condos like Inn of the 7th Mountain and Mt. Bachelor Village. Each condo association has its own Home Owners Association Dues. Some are $700+ a month (but most include everything but taxes), while others are more reasonable (under $100 a month).
