I've made the leap and joined the RMLS, (Regional Mulitple Listing Service). Our primary MLS in Bend area is the Central Oregon MLS. So why did I join the RMLS? Simple, to give my sellers' properties the most exposure as possible. The RMLS is the biggest listing service in Oregon. It is used as the primary MLS system for about half of the state, but has members in all parts of Oregon. My listings will now appear on the RMLS and be available to thousands of agents outside of our area. Who wouldn't want their home available to more agents and buyers?
I've noticed that home buyers from throughout Oregon, especially the Portland area, use the RMLS site regularly to search for homes. I've had calls from buyers saying "wow, there isn't much on the market in Bend". But this is because they are only searching the RMLS and don't know that we have our own Central Oregon MLS. Now my listings will show up on this short list of homes on the RMLS. Currently there are only 84 agents from Bend that are members of the RMLS.
If you're thinking of selling your home in Bend, give me a call to discuss the differences betweeen my services and the average agents services. The RMLS is just a small part of what makes my listing service unique and effective.
