Getting your Central Oregon home ready to list

Clean. Clean. Clean. First impressions are everything. Clean up your home before you list it.  Lets start with the outside. Clean up all yard debris, pull weeds, and trim trees.  You want "drive by" buyers to think "WOW, I want to see the inside of this home!"

Stage Your Home

Whether you hire a professional to stage your home, or you do it yourself, some kind of staging is usually in order. Many times this involves taking away items such as photos, furniture, and/or art. Other times it means adding any of the previous mentioned items. I will do a walk through prior to listing the home and let you know what, if anything, I think needs to be done to make your home more appealing to a broad spectrum of buyers.

Finish Your To-Do List

All those small repairs and touch ups that you've been putting off should be completed prior to listing your home. Most buyers will get a home inspection report and request items to be fixed. Start with the items that you think potential home buyers will notice, and work your way down the list. Touch up paint, or new paint can add a lot to a buyer's impression of your home.
